Lead Artist Position Available

    Collision Studios is seeking a Lead Artist experienced managing a team of artists, as well as modeling high-quality characters and environments on the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Sony PSP and Nintendo DS platforms.

    Requirements:
    • Experience leading a team of Artists
    • Mastery of Maya
    • Expertise in Photoshop and familiar with other common 2D and 3D tools
    • Solid understanding of weight, scale, and proportion
    • Experience modeling environments within tightly-defined technical guidelines
    • Experience with texture creation
    • Experience with Character Rigging
    • Proficiency in lighting environments for dramatic effect
    • Proficiently in creating Normal/Specular maps
    • Creative persona with a positive attitude
    • Able to focus and to manage one’s own time and that of his/her team in order to meet milestones
    • Works quickly and efficiently within short development cycles and strict deadlines
    • Self-driven, good communicator and team player
    • Must have a passion for games and game development
    Desired Skills and Pluses:
    • At least 2 shipped video game titles
    • 3+ years experience in the video game industry
    • Experience managing outsourcing a plus
    • Skills in concept art and storyboarding a plus
    • Ability to quickly learn new skills and pass those skills onto others
    Portfolio Requirements:
    • Applicants must deliver a full resume with a portfolio and/or demo reel to be considered for this position.
    • Applicants must be able to show their legal right to work in the United States.
    Internships and part-time positions are not available at this time.

    We are based in Venice (1 block from the beach, near Santa Monica) in California.

    aren't these normally in the jobs section?

    and when did 3 years get you senior status? because I seriously need to have words with someone other wise *l*

    Oh, and legally speaking, your not allowed to discriminate against johnny foreigner and work status and saying so opens you up for potential on getting sued, only government positions are allowed to mention that...simple get out is to just ignore foreign applications....I should know, I've been in that position and I've got a greencard, it's a pain in the arse.

    No probs...oh, and the other easy get out clue would be having a requirement for a quick start which would mean you could dismiss anyone needing sponsorship, the H1B visa not being able to be applied for till next April for that following Oct start....saves about $6K and all *l*
