I am new to the Gaming community..

As the title of the post states I am relatively new to the gaming industry and thought to get some insight to the opportunities available to me.

My background:
I am a graphics designer who is always looking for new ways to expand.

I specialize in branding and logo design. I also am an accomplished web designer and developer.

Is there room for me in the games industry? Who does the packaging and promotion for games?

I am very comfortable with Ps and Illustrator and work with them on a daily basis.

I do think there are places which might need your expertise. Things like GUI design and indeed packaging/websites are mostly done by graphic designers.

The box art for our games is mostly done by our publisher, so maybe that would also good place for you to look into?
